Many of the medical subjects are taught in the English medium at Tashkent Medical Academy. However, some clinical lectures from 3rd year will be in the Uzbek or Russian medium compulsorily. This is common all over Uzbekistan and other Russian countries as per the instructions given by their respective Government. That is why the Uzbek/Russian language is also taught in the Universities right from 1st year till 3rd year. It helps the students to communicate with the patients in their hospital classes.
