Indian Mess available in some Universities: In some of the medical Universities of Kazakhstan, like Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Indian mess is available, and Lunch and Dinner are served to the students at a fixed monthly cost.
Very near to India: Kazakhstan is quite near to India. It takes only 3 hours and 30 minutes of a direct flight from New Delhi to Almaty. Airfare is hence quite low. It is only Rs 32,000 return airfare.
Kazakhstan is a safe country: Kazakhstan is quite a safe country, and it is considered to be safer than countries such as France and Germany. Even any Indian girl can roam around in the streets of Kazakhstan alone anytime.

Disadvantages of MBBS In Kazakhstan

We always mention the points of disadvantages too. This helps our students to be mentally prepared before going to any country to study MBBS.
No Cadaver in any Medical College in Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan's most significant disadvantage is that students will not get any Cadaver in their Anatomy class. Instead, all Universities and colleges will use plastic bodies or synthetic cadavers.
What is a Cadaver?
A cadaver is a dead human body that medical students, Doctors, and other Scientists use;
01. To study anatomy,
02. Identify disease sites,
03. Determine causes of death, and
04. Provide tissue to repair a living human being's defect.

Students in medical school research and dissect cadavers as a part of their education.
Unlimited Intake Policy: Kazakhstan's biggest disadvantage is that the Universities take an unlimited number of students, which is far beyond their capacity.

Some Universities take almost 6 to 8 times their actual capacity.

KNMU took 1150 students in 2020 whereas their capacity is only 150 per year. Hence Indian students are facing huge problems in their studies, accommodation and food.
Extreme Weather condition: Kazakhstan has extreme weather. It is too cold in winter and quite hot in summer. Winter temperature may go down to -20°C, and summer temperature feel may go up to 40°C.
New in English medium or Bilingual: Several Universities have started their English medium MBBS program very recently. So there may be some problems with the pronunciation of the teachers, and many clinical classes may be taken in the Russian medium. Maximum universities are purely Bilingual which means 2 years in English and 3 years in the Russian medium.
Hostels Shortage: Since all the Universities admit unlimited students which is far beyond their capacity, there is a huge shortage of hostel rooms for the students. So students have to search for their accommodation which may be faraway from the campus and 3 times expensive.

Kazakhstan Government Hostels have the following problems:
Common washroom in alternate floors
Rooms are 4-sharing up to 8-sharing
Rooms mostly not furnished

Food Shortage in the canteen: Due to the inadequate capacity of the canteens, considering the number of Indian students, there is always an acute shortage of prepared food. So, students are bound to buy food from outside, paying an extra amount.
Tuition and hostel fees may increase: In Kazakhstan, every year, fees are decided as per the market prevailing prices and currency exchange rate. So the costs mentioned in USD may differ in the coming years.
Internship of Kazakhstan is not valid in India: The internship done in Kazakhstan is not valid in India, unlike China or Bangladesh. So after completion of 5 years MBBS course in Kazakhstan, an Indian student must do a one-year Internship in India after passing the NEXT exam.
Mixed Standard of Students: Since any quality of student who has at least qualified NEET can take admission in Kazakhstan, so there is a mixed standard of students in any University.
Lowest MCI Passing number: Some of the Universities in Kazakhstan have the lowest MCI Screening Test or FMGE Passing rate and number. Like Kazakh National Medical University has only 6.67% FMGE Passing rate in 2019 (1 student out of 15) and Kazakh-Russian Medical University 0.0% (0 out of 32) .
