Bogomolets National Medical University | Top MBBS College in Ukraine

Bogomolets National Medical University or NMU was founded the Royal Highness of Mykola in 1841 at Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, and named after physiologist Alexander A. Bogomolets. NMU has a teaching staff strength of 1500 and provides medical education to 10,000 students. Nearly 1300 international students from 56 countries also study here. 

It is one of the best among all the medical universities in Ukraine. Bogomolets National Medical University also provides Post Graduation studies in a separate Institute for Post Graduate. The university has become a pioneer in training medical specialists and research personnel in the field of healthcare. 

The teaching staff includes 855 Ph.D. and 205 Doctors of Sciences. 

In cooperation with preventive medical establishments in city Kyiv, the clinical departments of the University carry out a significant volume of treatment consulting activity. 53 clinical department of O.O. Bogomolets NMU is located at,

• 137 clinical bases in preventive medical establishments of CAHC in Kyiv, medical establishments of MHC of Ukraine,
• NAMS of Ukraine, and departmental subordination.

The University Clinics has a total qualified staff strength of:

• 110 professors and doctors of medicine which includes 16 academicians and corresponding members of NAMS and NAPS of Ukraine,
• over 200 assistant professors,
• 440 assistants, and about
• 100 resident doctors.

Approximately 82% of employees at clinical departments of the University have the high and first vocational qualification category.

The total number of beds in all these establishments is 8700, which is nearly 45% of the entire hospital beds in Kyiv.

• Yearly, around 2 Lac patients are treated.
• Over 60,000 operations are done per year.
• 12,000 childbirths are done in these clinics of pediatric specialization.

These Clinics also have 80 units of expensive apparatuses for the total sum of about UAH 40 million, which includes:

• 4 cryosurgical devices Cryo-pulse,
• 46 ultrasound apparatuses,
• laparoscopic set for cholecystectomy and gynecology,
• endoscopic equipment for laparoscopic interferences,
• 7 endoscopic systems,
• 4 X-ray apparatuses and machines,
