Prime Medical College Campus:

Prime Medical College (PMC) Campus is located at Rangpur in North-west Bangladesh. It is 180 km from Bagdogra International airport near Siliguri of West Bengal. It is located half a Kilometer from Central Bus Terminal of Rangpur and within the limit of Rangpur City Corporation. The college campus is surrounded by the lush green trees adjacent to the Badarganj Road, Rangpur. It was established in 2008 by a group of dedicated business family of Rangpur.  

Prime Medical College is a seven-storied building to run all the administrative and academic activities. This is a quite spacious building built with a modern structural design. All the modern facilities of an ideal medical-educational institute are available here. The outlook of the college building is magnificent. Every floor of the medical college has a capacity of approximately 25,000 sqft. There is an adequate number of teachers and other staff at this College. At present, the College is permitted to teach 150 students per year.

Class Rooms & Anatomy Lab:

There are four extensive fully air-conditioned Galleries with multimedia and digital sound system for lectures. Besides, there are department tutorial rooms attached to the respective departments. The Dissection Hall has seven Cadavers for anatomy dissection. The Pathology Lab and other laboratories of various departments are well equipped with modern instruments.

Audiovisual Classrooms:

Each classroom of the college is provided with an overhead projector, slide projector, and a microphone system. Teaching is further enhanced by Multimedia projectors and computers.

Teaching Methods :

Teaching is imparted through lectures, demonstration, tutorials, ward clinics, practical classes, field visits, guided study tours, and surveys on health problems. Monthly clinical meetings are held regularly. 

Library of Prime Medical College:

Prime Medical College has an enriched library located on the Ground floor of the Academic building. The library has a total collection of over 1,000 Textbooks of the latest addition, references, monographs & journals in various subjects, magazines, and newspapers. The library of PMC facilitates students and teachers to get updated information. The reading room can accommodate about 300 students at a time. Students and teachers can also borrow textbooks for use at home. Recently, an internet connection has been provided in the library to download recent scientific materials. The library remains open from 8 am to 4 pm except for holidays. There is also a Scanner Machine for the facilities of the students.

Strength of International Students in Prime Medical College:

Prime Medical College was permitted to take International students from 2014. At present, nearly 317 students from 2 countries study MBBS at Prime. Out of them, 200+ are from India only. Rest are from Nepal. That means nearly 50% of the students in PMC are international students from different parts of India, like West Bengal, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tamil nadu, Punjab Kashmir, Bihar, UP, Rajsthan, Delhi, and Nepal and a few from Bhutan.

Language of Instructions:

All the medical subjects are taught in the English medium at Prime Medical College, Rangpur. Indian students will bring textbooks from India only.
Omkar Medicom will provide the Booklist for 1st year's students. The College will give the Booklist from the 2nd year onwards.

Prime Medical College has two separate hostels for male and female students managed by the college administration. Both are located outside the campus, only 2-3 minutes walking distance. The hostels provide;

• A separate bed, table, and chair for each student,
• 24 hours supply of water,

• Laundry services (paid).

The hostel Common Room has facilities like a TV with a Cable connection. Students get a homely environment for studies within strong discipline monitored by the college administration.
